Description/Job Summary

PRIMARY ROLE:
Responsible for the independent analysis for loan requests of the association’s largest and most complex borrowers. Completes all documents, including projections.
 
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Develops and analyzes all types of credit information.  Prepares complete loan packages independently for the association’s largest and most complex borrowers, completes all documents, including projections, prepares analyses and makes the appropriate recommendations.  Responsible for preparation of larger and more complex loan packages within the capital markets department.  Improve professionalism associated with loan servicing, monitoring, and reporting.  Provides assistance to Relationship Managers as needed in loan servicing and processing as needed.  Performs timely and efficient processing of assigned loans.
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS of the job include, but are not limited to:
Analyzes financial statements of all levels of quality to develop initial assessment by identifying strengths and weaknesses pertaining to a borrower’s historical operating performance.  Develops credit information for use by Relationship Managers or Committees in the making of lending decisions. Independently processes loans, line of credit, and continuations. 
 
Assigned specific loans for monitoring on a monthly or quarterly basis as necessary to monitor compliance with loan agreement covenants and financial trends.
 
Completes Credit packages with all information included and complete for booking to the loan system.
                               
REQUIREMENTS:
  1. Education of a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or Economics.
  2. Three to five years of commercial credit analysis work experience
  3. Knowledge of computers and related software.
  4. Good organizational and analytical skills.
  5. Self-starter and ability to be assertive and arrive at sound business decisions.
  6. Continued training in financial and credit analysis and credit risk assessment.
